Layout details
The chalet located in Châtel enjoys a panoramic view of
the mountains and the forest. The clients wanted to arrange their living room and entrance around the central staircase, create a gym incorporating a sauna, and design a master suite that reflected their style. The project revolves around a central platform that connects the entrance, kitchen, and living room. This element incorporates shoe storage and forms the first step of the staircase and extends into a bench on the living room side. Made of walnut, it reflects
the owners' attachment to natural materials and to the contrast.
To maximize brightness, all the walls were treated with lime. The light and natural hues blend old wood was used to create a warm and timeless atmosphere. In the living room, the fireplace was designed to blend discreetly: its hood merges with the wall color, enhancing the overall harmony. Touches of ochre and khaki complement the natural tones of the entire chalet.
